Jeanna and Will’s wedding ceremony took place on the beach at the gorgeous Fiesta Americana Grand Resort and their reception followed at Whale’s Terrace also at the Fiesta Americana. It is a picture perfect destination wedding venue as you can see from the fabulous photos by Alec and T www.alecandt.com

The colors they choose for the wedding and reception were perfect compliments to their seaside destination wedding. With Jenn’ys help, they were able to combine ideas and created a wedding ceremony and reception they had always dreamed. Flowers were done by Los Cabos Flowers www.loscabosflowers.com

Everything was perfect from start to finish with Jenny as their Wedding Designer and On Site coordinator. I love this color combination!

They had so much fun Jenny enjoyed watching them enjoy their day.

Very romantic! And beach weddings are so much fun!!!

Baja Weddings hosted another fabulous wedding at Sheraton Hacienda del Mar, Cabo San Lucas. China and Joel planned their destination wedding nuptials for nine months with Jenny being their Wedding Designer and On Site Coordinator.
The Chinese influence was simple, elegant as well as fun.

You could feel the romance when they first saw each other

My favorite part of every wedding are the Mariachis!

The elegant red rose arrangements created by www.caboflowers.com provided just the right amount of color!

The couply carried the Chinese influence throughout the reception with tea.

Hacienda del Mar’s beachside reception site is the perfect choice for a Destination Wedding in Cabo San Lucas.

Alec & T Photography (www.AlecandT.com) captured the elegance of Hacienda del Mar while photographing the bridal party in the courtyard.

With Jenny’s design expertise and guidance, China and Joel had the wedding of their dreams!

Bobby, the groom, first contacted us that he wanted to surprise his beautiful bride of ten years with a SURPRISE Vow Renewal. He wanted to have it performed on the beach at their hotel, The Welk Resort. I knew from the onset this was a special guy! Bobby was so attentive and clearly excited in our several emails back and forth expressing to me how he envisioned this special day, knowing exactly what he wanted. And he kept saying “I’m not the planner in the family” but boy do I have news for him! He was great! He knew exactly what he wanted even ordering a matching bouquet for the dress and shoes he planned to surprise her with as well. Good job, Bobby!

Bobby kept everything a secret until he asked her to walk on the beach with him prior to their dinner reservations at Sunset Da Mona Lisa…then she asked, “What is going on!?!”

She was surprised . . and thrilled!

They never stopped smiling, all through the ceremony…

He is a gem – bought her a dress and these fabulous shoes to match! He even planned the bouquet to match everything! He sent me a photo of just what he wanted and Francine at Cabo Flowers www.caboflowers.com replicated the bouquet perfectly.

What a gorgeous couple…they could not be happier or enjoying themselves more.

They just keep smiling . .

Cheers to the next ten years!!

Padre PJ and the couple – time to celebrate and take photos with Tomas Barron tomas@tomasbarron.com

Bobby did eventually get the walk on the beach he asked for earlier!

I swear, the only time they stopped smiling was when they stopped to kiss . .

Tomas captured their enthusiasm in every photo!

They were so much fun!

They enjoyed every minute working with Tomas.

Winding down in time for their dinner reservations…thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
On April 24th, Allie and Kevin were married at Hotel Finisterra. This was Baja Weddings’ 1st event at this hotel and we were thrilled with the outcome!
One of the best things about this hotel is its location – just a few minutes stroll away from the marina with lots of nearby restaurants and it’s on the Pacific Ocean facing side. In comparison to other downtown hotels, this resort has far less foot traffic on the beach so there is virtually no interference with the backdrop of your photos. It’s an enormous beach with awe inspiring waves that crash so loudly you can hear them from your room with the door closed!
Suzanne Morel Face & Body Care provided onsite salon services, http://suzannemorel.com/ and Tomas Barron, http://www.tomasbarron.com/, photographed Allie and Kevin’s special day. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Below are just some of my personal favorites –
Allie got ready with her Bridesmaids and Mom in the Whale Watching Suite

Kevin and his Groomsmen

An almost private ceremony, there was no one on the beach except for our group!

Some fun group shots!

I feel these next photos truly showcase the love Allie and Kevin share for each other. Stunning backdrops and genuine intimacy.

Congratulations once again Allie and Kevin!

Keli contacted me directly in March of 2010. She is friends with a couple whose son’s wedding I coordinated in 2008. Keli and Timothy are celebrating their 25th Wedding Anniversary this year, and they wanted to do something special on the beach – just the two of them and their lovely family! I knew immediately where they should go and what to do.
Pedregal Beach is one of my favorite beaches of all time. The large waves, the rocks and cliffs, and the long stretches of sand are the perfect backdrop for any ceremony even at 9:00 a.m.! The Campbells wanted to have their ceremony early in the morning so that they could have the rest of their day (and quick family vacation) together. Ceremony at 9:00 a.m. at Pedregal and by 11:00 family picnic and rock climbing on Lover’s Beach….
Tomas Barron (www.tomasbarron.com) took some AMAZING family pictures of the Campbells. There were too many for me to narrow to just a couple…

Timothy greeting Keli

I loved the passion they share when they kiss!

Keli looked stunning!

With Minister John Fagan (http://www.bajawedding.com/john_28_4.html)

Keli wanted many great pictures of her lovely family. I think she couldn’t have gotten any better!

The rocks of Pedregal make the perfect backdrop!

A family having fun!

My favorite of the day!
Congratulations Keli and Timothy! We will see you in another 25 years!

We’ve all heard the phrase “a match made in heaven,” but when I first met Emily and Dan – this is exactly what came to mind!

Their wedding weekend started with the rehearsal dinner at Mi Casa Restaurant, hosted by the groom’s parents, Jeff and Kathy. All 75 guests were able to find their designated table seating with their name and table number attached to brightly colored maracas!
The centerpieces could not be more perfect with child size sombreros made even more festive with yellow, orange and red Gerber Daises! The bride and groom’s chairs hosted full size sombreros with the bride’s sporting a bridal veil! Great food, lots of tequila shots, and some funny toasts all equaled a great time for everyone!
Emily and her bridesmaids had hair and make up completed by Suzanne Morel Spa and could not look more lavishing! www.suzannemorelspa.com

I first saw Emily during Pre-Photo shots. She looked so lovely and perfectly calm, knowing all the details were being taken care of. Even when the bride’s father forgot his socks and a quick run to the local Mexicanmarket was a necessity by BW, Emily was taking it all in stride with big wide smiles and happy giggles!

I love it when a bride is this relaxed and truly able to enjoy the day without worry, knowing every details she has envisioned will be carried out as she has dreamed.
The wedding took place at Cabo Azul, the ceremony in their chapel and receiption beachside – a beautiful back drop for a wedding!

My favorite part after the ceremony is having the Mariachi’s play . . their festive sounds bring so much character and liviliness to the moment. You can’t help but smile during their performance.
They completed their reception with several hours of a DJ who helped them all dance the night away.
We couldn’t be more honored to have been a part of your Big Day, Emily & Dan. Thank you for putting your trust in us!
Earlier this month, I had the honor of helping Christie and Clint have a wedding event they will always remember!!
![ChristieClint07[1] ChristieClint07[1]](http://www.bajawedding.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/ChristieClint071-300x171.jpg)
Along with almost 100 friends and family, they had an amazing vacation at the Hilton – hanging out at the pool, a night club crawl in Cabo one night, spa party, golf…you name it, they did it!
The wedding day dawned with some strong wind, but the Couples weren’t discouraged. The beach was just as beautiful, the Bride was stunning, the Groom was enamored, the tequila shots kept flowing, and the dancing continued until the very end (including a back flip

If your family stepped out of an episode of ‘Leave it to Beaver’ read no further…for the rest of us, some advice:
Many of our family trees include branches of stepparents, children from previous marriages and all the extended relatives that come along with blended families. Considering your family dynamics during your wedding planning is a key factor in creating a comfortable environment for all those in attendance.

As your wedding coordinators, we urge you to share enough detail with us regarding relationships that we are prepared to meet, greet and organize your family, attendants and guests. We want nothing more than to assure you the most stress free wedding day possible and we find knowing these more intimate details saves us any day-of surprises.
Each of us has a favorite story of doing something either embarrassing or inappropriate with regards to unknown family dynamics. We laugh together at these stories now, but would have given anything to avoid the situation at the time. Don’t be afraid to share the Do’s and Don’ts of your family with us prior to your arrival. We will take note and be certain not to create any uncomfortable situations for ourselves, or your families.
It may make a good story later on, but let’s save those for your Big Day I Dos!
For all that have visited beautiful Baja California, you already know that it is not “Mexico.” Technically, yes, but Baja California, and especially our beautiful beach towns at the tip, are so far removed from all the hustle, bustle, politics and most importantly – crime – than the mainland that besides the language and landscape and margaritas, you’d hardly know you were in Mexico!
Please be wary when reading and listening to the media about traveling to Mexico. The US Government always runs a strong anti-Mexico campaign before and during the Spring Break season, and this year is no different, especially with the drug related violence that has been occurring. As the Baja Insider put it recently – “concern for events in Cuidad Jaurez while visiting Los Cabos or Cancun is like worrying about a crime wave in Chicago while in the Florida Keys. The regions are vastly remote.”
You can read the full text of the article here : http://www.bajainsider.com/baja-california-travel/mexico-travel-warning.htm
Our point – as proud as we are to be Baja California, Mexico, we are not “that” Mexico! Come stay and play in our beautiful town. The beaches, dining and nightlife await you!
We look forward to sharing Spring and Summer with you.

Our office was invited to join the CaboRey’s Sunset Cruise this week. We had a GREAT time! The cruise started off on the top deck with cocktails as we strolled around the Bay and took advantage of the birds-eye view of Lands End.

A band entertained us with live music – a great repertoire of selections so everyone enjoyed the tunes. We were lucky since it’s still whale season. While out on the Pacific, we had the opportunity to watch a Mama grey whale and her baby frolic around – jumping, rolling, slapping their fins…..it was pure delight to watch!!
After the sun started dropping on the horizon, we were invited to dinner on the main level.

An elegant set up of table linens and flickering candle centerpieces greeted us. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 course meal, the background music, the service, and then……Wow, what a show they put on!

The CaboRey has a wonderful entertainment team showcasing the sounds and rhythms of Latin American including Tango dancers, Mexican folk dancers, and Argentine boleadores. We were so impressed with their skills; it provides a fun opportunity for Visitors to see a glimpse into a different culture and heritage.
Whether it’s just the Bride and Groom who want to have dinner following their ceremony, a rehearsal dinner for any size group, or those who want to have the boat to themselves for a private event, the CaboRey is a great option to consider!
Welcome aboard!! http://www.caborey.com/
